USPS 117604 Coastal Birds Postcard Stamp, Pack of 20

These are POSTCARD stamps! Not full-stamp value. I neglected to realize that and now I have enough stamps for a lifetime’s worth of postcards that I can’t mail greeting cards with. Check it out!

With the release of the Coastal Birds postcard stamps, the U.S. Postal Service celebrates four eye-catching birds: the red knot (Calidris canutus), king eider (Somateria spectabilis), roseate spoonbill (Platalea ajaja), and magnificent frigatebird (Fregata magnificens). The stamps feature highly stylized, digital portraits of each bird. Feeding on everything from crustaceans and mollusks to insects and fish, coastal birds can be spotted along beaches, rocky coastlines, and mudflats, as well as in lagoons, wetlands, and other saltwater and freshwater habitats. They account for some of the worlds largest breeding and migratory populations. The Coastal Birds stamps feature the art of illustrator Tyler Lang. Greg Breeding was the art director. The word POSTCARD on the stamps indicates their usage value. Like a Forever stamp, it will always be equal in value to the applicable price for the price category printed on them at the time of use. The current price and value for this stamp is 34 cents as of 1/16/2017. This listing is for 20 stamps (1 sheets of 20 stamps).

USPS 117604 Coastal Birds Postcard Stamp, Pack of 20 Review

"The word ‘POSTCARD’ on the stamps indicates their usage value. Like a Forever stamp, it will always be equal in value to the applicable price for the price category printed on them at the time of use. The initial price and value for this stamp is 35 cents. "That is straight from the listing. What this means, people, is that you are paying (currently $11. 70), for what is TWENTY 35 cent postcard stamps – face value of $7 even. Looks like this listing is merely taking advantage of those who think these are Standard Forever stamps, which they are NOT. Be careful! Much easier to buy what you need directly from your local post office, they have nearly every design available – and can order them for you if they do not! -Read Reviews-

Four birds pictured on stamps

These are for postcards, which it should say in large print. Two of these will be what it takes to mail a first class letter. Adds up to a waste of money because of this sellers inaccurate description (purposeful omission of the the word "Postcards)".
