Ultimate Mozart [5 CD Box Set]

Wow ! Now, we have all heard of Mozart but I had no idea how amazing the man’s music really was and is. I have just recently in the last 3 or 4 months grown in my appreciation for all thing classical. Though I am still wading through what seems to be an endless sea of composers, conductors, symphonies, orchestras, recordings, etc . . . I’ve picked up enough to know that this is a truly outstanding deal and quite possibly a crime to get these five cd’s at this price. After much, much research I decided I was going to stay far away from classical "essential" box sets. However, it was hard to ignore the reviews for these Decca sets. And after digging even further, many of the reviewers for these are experienced classical listeners. So I took the chance and am so happy I did indeed. Perhaps your like me and are interested in getting into classical. This Mozart set is a must . . . Trust me, you will enjoy it. Check it out!

Nearly as prolific as Wolfy himself, this 5-CD set packs in hours upon hours of the symphonies, concerti, serenades, vocal music and other Mozart masterpieces you need! Includes Mass in C “Coronation”; Requiem in D Minor; Symphony No. 40 in G Minor; Symphony No. 41 in C “Jupiter”; Piano Concerto No. 21 in C; Rondo in A Minor; Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor; Clarinet Concerto in A; Concerto for Flute, Harp and Orchestra in C; Horn Concerto No. 4 in E Flat; Rondo for Horn and Orchestra in E Flat; Serenade in G “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”; Divertimento in D , and more, conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy, Georg Solti; Neville Marriner, and more.

Ultimate Mozart [5 CD Box Set] Review

Most of the recordings are “DDD” all of the tracks sound excellent. This is such a deal, so much Mozart for the price of one CD. Each CD ranges from 60 minutes to 75 minutes. You will truly enjoy this purchase. -Read Reviews-

This set comes with a defective product. Amazingly, one of the CDs has "wrong" pieces recorded on it! CD1 is supposed to be Symphony #40 and #41, but what in it were clearly NOT. So, it is inaccurate to say that I hated it. But I think it is a major defect.
