Fantastic evolution and great to get so much NEW music all on one album. Keith Urban”s new albums is what fans love: He is a storyteller, a heart-healer, a man who holds women in high regard. Fantastic musicianship as always, so much more than "a country singer" I find that his music transcends genres (he’s actually the only country artist I listen too, I’m more of a rock girl. ..). So much fun to hear him experimenting and evolving; the instrumental work in the first track is absolutely WONDERFUL!! Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing has been my favorite as an album so far, I have a feeling this one will take its place. Kudos to Keith and everyone who played a part — Check it out!

As the excitement mounts for Keith Urban s May 6th release of RIPCORD, and for his subsequent June 2nd launch of his ripCORD World Tour 2016, details of his eighth studio album are revealed. RIPCORD features a virtual who s who of creative collaborators for an album that Urban says was his most exhilarating album to make, both musically and creatively. This album s journey began back in January, 2015 and took me to a lot of unexplored people and places. added Urban. The end result was the recording and exploring of more songs then I ve ever done before and carving that down to what I felt constituted RIPCORD. For the 13-track album, which has already produced his 19th and 20th No. 1 songs, Urban amassed an eclectic group of Grammy, CMA, ACM Award-winning writers and co-producers, who that have collectively worked with the likes of Adele, Jason Aldean, David Bowie, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, Brett Eldredge, Fun, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Madonna, Daft Punk, Pink and Taylor Swift. They include new collaborations with Jeff Bhasker, busbee, Greg Wells and Nile Rodgers, as well as those who Urban has worked with before, including Shane McAnally, Ross Cooperman, Dann Huff and Nathan Chapman all of whom worked with Urban on his previous No. 1 album FUSE. Getting to work with people like this was unlike anything I ve envisioned before, said Urban. It s the result of writing, reaching, imagining, and following the muse every step of the way.

Keith is one smart dude. ..he releases new albums 2-3 years in between, fans are so hungry for his new material they just gobble it up. Ripcord is arguably his edgiest work yet. collaborations, a lot of up-tempo songs and an overall urgency comes through when I listen to it. He’s a country artist, but grew up in Australia playing punk rock, among other music. Rock will always be part of his musical DNA. His time as judge (by far the best one, too) on American Idol opened up a number of doors for him, and the sound he’s created on Ripcord is a testament to that. That’s what makes Keith such a compelling artist. ..he’s always learning, collaborating and expanding his musical horizons. He’s a true student of music. ..he never ceased to amaze me on Idol. ..seems like he knew the words to just about every song the contestants and guest stars sang. Nicole recently said she’s proudest of Keith because he cares about the details, striving to make each song as perfect as he can get it. We fans are the lucky ones who get to hear the results of such dedication to his craft.
