Prey - Xbox One

If you enjoyed BioShock Infinite, Deus Ex, Dishonored and like to be surprised by both creepy jumps and immersive storytelling, so far this game is delivering. The skill tree is kept simple but suggests game replayability to mix things up your next playthrough (I’m not sure if you can unlock everything in the first playthrough). Great opening sequence that had my attention from the start – and things instantly became intriguing from that point. Hacking, guns, gimmick guns that are super fun, various ways to traverse the environment both by stealth and means, fantastic sense of place, option to play as male/female (yay!), crafting . .. I feel like everything is covered in this game without being overly complicated. So far I am having the best time, and would recommend this game as a solid and enjoyable game of it’s genre. Thank you Arkane Studios!Tips- read all emails- water heals when you’re in a pinch- look for alternative paths rather than the obvious- unlock hacking/lifting/repair soon- yup, enemies do respawn but not always as you may expect ;)NegativesWow, the music feels a lil’ loud in the game and can go on a little long in "alert" mode after it feels like you cleared an area Check it out!

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities.

Prey – Xbox One Review

I had high hopes for this game since Arkane Studios did amazing work with Dishonored. They met most of my expectations. Pros:- game play is as creative as you want it to- potential for replay value is there depending on choices- eerie alien atmosphere is great-story is told without too many cutsceneCons- while it’s good not to have the story as super long cutscenes, you will spend quite a bit of time on your own- not many enemy types. ..just variants of the same- while endings can differ, I didn’t like how it kind of made it black/white. No grey area ending type of thing based on your choices- some of the powers were not as impressive as I’d thought they would be like-long load times when switching between areasOverall, it’s a good game. I do recommend you explore, but do not explore areas that the main quest has not taken you to yet. ..you will find a lot of resistance and many locked doors without a clue as to how to unlock. Pace yourself. -Read Reviews-

You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong.

The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted.

Excellent game. Better version of dead space. Well worth the pre-order to support a possible, 2nd video game to this field. I just wish it had DLC because I know if the do a 2nd prey game it will be awhile.
