5mm is the most frequently used tool and the form factor and ball end of this is great. Very handy – to the point I have ar hard time keeping my hands on it. I help staff a Boy Scouting Mountain Bike Program. I spend most of my time tweaking and (continuously) re-adjusting bikes as they come and go many times a day. The 5mm wrench was always dissapearing. And the cheapo HF one without a ball end was also sometimes tough to get into some sockets. And I had a hard time keeping my hands on that one anyway as everybody helping needed the 5mm. This format with short straight and long ball end is great and the handiest format. I sharpied the heck out of it and put my usual loop of paracord through the handle to mark it. So while it still dissapeared a lot in the shop during events – I still was able to bring it home. I highly recommend these wrenches and in this format. Check it out!
These thoughtfully designed P-handled hex wrenches fit the task at hand, as well as they fit in your hand. The long shaft of each wrench is fitted with a Bondhus Balldriver for those hard to reach bolt heads. The short end of the wrench is neatly chamfered and extends from the handle for use when fully tightening bolts in high torque applications. Shaft lengths are optimally selected to minimize the wind-up and flex experienced with longer wrenches. The hex wrenches are made from Bondhus Protanium™ high torque industrial steel for long life. The offset P-handles are made from a durable nylon material and are ergonomically-designed for comfortable use. The 10mm P-Handle Hex Wrench can also be used for removing crank bolts with a 10mm socket.
Park Tool P-Handled Hex Wrenches Review
These work great. The end of the wrench has an indention in it to allow for working at an angle. This is a huge upgrade from the cheap L shaped one I used in the past. This is also long enough to reach everything I’ve needed it for, including adding an extended stem to the fork. -Read Reviews-

While the hex wrenches that come on multi-tools or combined with other sizes of wrenches, there are many jobs where such options may not be ideal. You wouldn’t realize this until you try one of Park’s P-Handled wrenches. The long end is equipped with a ball end, allowing one to attack a socket from an angle, and making it a whole lot easier to handle jobs where obstructions make other tools present challenges. The short end does not have the ball end, and is better suited for high-torque situations. Disc brake adjustment is my primary use for this tool, but 5mm hex sockets are everywhere.
