Mortimer (Munsch for Kids) Paperback – May 1, 1985 by Robert Munsch (Author)

We absolutely love this story. Very silly! Mortimer sings the same song every night, driving his family crazy. Children will enjoy reading over and over, quickly learning Mortimer’s song. Check it out!

Review [Mortimer is the story] of a little boy who won’t go to sleep at night and who drives his family crazy with his rowdiness … [It] reads as though it was written by a parent driven frantic by one of the contemporary but compulsive stages of childrearing … [It is] of tremendous appeal to kids and parents at the same stage. I know this is a popular kids book but my kids and I didn’t really enjoy it. Just about a little kid making a lot of noise at bedtime. -Read Reviews-

I know people love Munsch, but this story is strange. The little boy sings all the time so people yell at him and then get into fights with each other. Not exactly the moral I’d like to teach my kiddo.
