Luvay Portable Pocket Guitar Practice Strings Wooden Tool Gadget for Beginner (6 Fret)

This is a decent device that lets you practice guitar chords and fingerwork when you can’t play with your actual guitar. About the size of a TV remote control with a slide off cover. The reason for 4 stars is that the included strings are very thin and not like the strings most people use. I spent about 30 minutes replacing them with real strings, D’Addario in this case. Easy to remove the strings (need a hex/Allen wrench) but unfortunately the low E string hole was too narrow to accommodate the D’Addario E string. I carefully used a drill bit to slowly enlarge the hole and it worked, but you have to be careful as the piece is small and could crack if you’re not careful enough. The other strings went in fine. Tightening is not super easy as you have to tighten the hex screws and they only get so tight, but I was able to get it reasonably tight. Now it actually is useful for practicing finger placement and callous building but it should have been ready out of the box. Oh, it does also come with a decent soft case/sleeve. Overall, could be better but still a useful device without much in the way if alternatives out there. Check it out!

Improving your finger dexterity and speeding up the progress of guitar playing

Product is pretty much as described. Very light, made from plastic with wood. Great tool for finger exercises as well as practicing scales and chords. It is NOT a little guitar and emits pretty much no sound; it’s a lightweight, inexpensive exercise/practice tool, and it’s just what I was looking for. Loses one star because it did NOT come with an Allen wrench as described. I had to scour through some tools to find one since I don’t use them often; Just a slight twist to tighten the strings to better simulate a real neck. Otherwise, it’s good for what it is.
