Every Christmas for the last few years, I’ve been purchasing a copy of a Slonim children’s book for several friends’ kids. One friend told me that she had shopped for a Slonim book herself, but then remembered that I always get one for her son, so she waited. Thankfully, she said, I did! My friend said that Slonim’s books are some of her son’s favorites and another friend said her kids pick Slonim’s books to have read to them more often than their other books. This one has humor (of course!), incredible illustrations, and strength in a father/son relationship (even if they are monsters!) which is needed in today’s culture. Thanks, David Slonim, for another children’s favorite! Check it out!

I Loathe You Hardcover – December 18, 2012 by David Slonim (Author, Illustrator) Review
I think every child should have "Guess How Much I Love You" and this book, "I Loathe You". I bought two of these for two families who, every time they came to our house, their kids wanted this book read to them. They were thrilled! The author has many other books, too – great stuff. Check out "He Came With the Couch. " You’ll love that one, too. -Read Reviews-
My family and I love this book. We just giggle and giggle while reading it. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to take life too seriously. It would make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift too!
