Halloween II: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Like a lot of horror movie soundtracks, this one has a lot of metal music. I am not a big fan of metal music but I like some of the songs on this CD. Similar to the soundtrack for Rob Zombie’s Halloween, the Halloween II soundtrack has sound clips from the movie, songs featured in the movie, and a track from the score. My favorite of the songs are: Transylvania Terror Train, Honky Tonk Halloween, and Love Hurts. Unlike the irritating version from the last movie, this version of Love Hurts sounds softer and depressing and I like this version. It plays at the end of the Unrated version when Laurie dies and has a vision of herself in the asylum. Transylvania Terror Train and Honky Tonk Halloween are from the group Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures, who is the group that sings at the party Laurie and her friends go to. There is a separate CD album of their songs from the movie that I haven’t bought yet. The track from the score, Nurse Killa, is good, it’s from the hospital sequence at the beginning when Michael kills the nurse and stalks Laurie. I don’t have much to say about the sound clips, they’re taken from the film and aren’t very long. Overall, I am a huge fan of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, and I recommend picking this CD up if you like the movie and the music. I’m not a fan of metal or rock music, but I can enjoy the songs featured here. Check it out!

It’s that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois, to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable. From acclaimed musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) comes the sequel to the highly successful and terrifying 2007, Halloween, adding to a legacy that began in 1978. The 2007 remake debuted in theaters on August 31, 2007, and took the #1 spot at the box office. Written and directed by Rob Zombie, The Weinstein Company opens Halloween II on over 2000 screens on August 28th.

Halloween II: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Review

-Read Reviews-

While the songs on here are great the skits are horrible. I ended up ripping it to my PC deleting the skits and throwing the songs on my iPod.
