Factory Reconditioned Eureka R4380AT WhirlWind Vacuum with HEPA filter

If you’re looking for an inexpensive bagless, this one is great. My Owner’s Guide is for the 4380-4480, so I’m not exactly sure which one I have. I don’t have a headlight, so I’m leaning towards the 4380. I’ve always been very found of a bagless cleaner versus their bagged counterparts, however, if you want a fantastic bagless, this isn’t it. Don’t get me wrong, it was worth every penny I paid, however, there are a few drawbacks. The most annoying ones are that the extra extension is supported at the bottom of the cleaner by a small tab. It is very easy to bump this with your foot when turning the unit off and on and also while cleaning, causing the extension to fall off. Also, the dirt cup comes off rather easily, but doesn’t go back on quite as well. You must make sure that you have the top hinge seated precisly before the bottom clip will go into place. I have found that the only way I can get the clip to click back into place is to literally slam the cup into place. I’ve only been using the cleaner for about 4 months and only the upstairs portion of my house, so I’m not sure how many more times I will be able to slam the cup into place before the clip breaks. The dirt cup also has a hinged flap that opens when emptying, so be careful and open it manually instead of letting it fly open on it’s own, as this can make a mess. Other than those items I mentioned, is seems to clean rather well, is light and manuevers easily. I got mine on sale at WalMart for only $49. I don’t know that I would have paid much more for it, though. Check it out!

Dust bunnies beware! This Eureka vacuum with HEPA filter sucks out 99.97 percent of household dust, pollen, bacteria, and other allergens as small as .3 microns. It has 12 amps of sucking power, yet it’s fairly lightweight and easy to push and pull, despite having a full 12-inch-wide cleaning path. It comes with five attachments: a combination tool with dusting brush on one side (for furniture, blinds, lampshades, and shelves) and upholstery nozzle on the other (for curtains, draperies, cushions, and fabrics); a crevice tool for cleaning corners, baseboards, and between cushions; and two nested extension wands to use alone or together for added reach. The upright handle releases all the way down, so you can slide the vacuum underneath furniture. You can also set the vacuum height depending on how thick your carpet is.The see-through cyclonic action cassette is easy to remove for emptying, and you can wash it in warm water if you desire. Change the cassette micron filter behind it every three months. (You can vacuum or brush off the filter pad once a month between replacements.) The separate HEPA filter in the back should be changed every six months. The carrying handle on the back makes it easier to carry up and down stairs, and the headlight helps you see the dust bunnies scurrying into the corners. This vacuum comes with a one-year limited warranty. –Doree ArmstrongEditor’s note: This is a reconditioned vacuum, which means that it has been returned to the manufacturer and then restored to like-new condition. Some vacuums may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Factory Reconditioned Eureka R4380AT WhirlWind Vacuum with HEPA filter Review

Until I vacuumed with my new Reconditioned Eureka R4380AT WhirlWind Vacuum !! To be honest, I really didn’t think I needed a new vacuum, since my old one still has suction, but it was a good price and I can’t resist a deal! So when I received my Eureka this morning, I gave it a test. I have a long hallway which I vacuumed first with my old unit (2nd time in 2 days). By the time I was finished running the Eureka down it, I picked up enough pet hair to make a small cat. I think my house even smells better now that I have done the rest of the carpeting. Even though my unit is reconditioned, it looks like brand new. There was not a speck of dirt to be seen, even in the hose lines and beater bar brush. You will need to have a phillips head screwdriver to put it together once you get it. It is a simple matter to attach the hose and the handle, then you are off and running! I really do appreciate the fact that I don’t have to go changing the hose around to get at the cobwebs or around furniture legs. The hose pops right out then slides right back in!! Look Mom! No more bags either! I think that you will find this Eureka to be a great purchase and well worth the money! Now you can actually SEE all the dirt and junk in your carpeting!!YIKES! -Read Reviews-

I was really hoping for more out of this vac. My 12-year old Hoover had finally died and looked at everything on Amazon to find a nice, mid-priced vacuum. On the plus side, the motor is more than adequate to pick up dirt and the bagless feature is a big plus. The HEPA filters are positioned for easy access with a reminder for how often they should be changed. All good stuff. On the downside. .. The carpet height adjustment dial is nearly useless — it’s a little piece of plastic that’s supposed to push up on the vacuum head to give it more lift, but it doesn’t really work. Fortunately for me, it handles my carpets at the "default" setting. Another disappointment is that there’s no way to turn off the rotating brush. This is a giant pain when I go from carpet to tile. And, the floor brush (sold separately) doesn’t work nearly as well — it tends to push the dirt rather than picking it up.
