Dove Men+Care Body and Face Bar, Extra Fresh, 4 Ounce, 10 Count

I normally pick up the women’s version, but this time around I picked up the men’s. I wanted to see what the difference was if any. So right off the bat I had to get use to how fragranced this was. To tell you the truth I didn’t like the smell right away, but after the first few showers I got use to the smell. I also found that these bars didn’t last as long once wet. I’m averaging 5 days of use with these bars and with the women’s version I get a week+. Overall my skin feels the same. So will I buy the mens version again?? Most likely not unless I can buy it really cheap, but I will definitely continue to buy the women’s versions for sure. Check it out!

Dove Men+Care Body and Face Bar, Extra Fresh, 4 Ounce, 10 Count Review

Flakey skin is a big problem with me. Ever since I was a kid I would have flakes of skin in my eyebrows, and it has been pretty embarrassing. It’s one of the last things I check the mirror for as I’m heading out the door, and it’s something that at some point in the day I have some sort of conscious thought about. Add to that the fact that I live in the driest part of the USA, and that we have some of the most harsh calcium-rich water in the land pumping through our pipes, and you can imagine how bad it can get. I’ve used a lot of various store brands, but have never found a product that alleviated the flake problem. I saw these Dove bars at a big box store a few years ago and gave it a shot, because realistically at the time I felt that one bar or another would give the same lousy results so there was no difference in what I bought. Nope! Dove Men + Care bars actually worked. I was stunned. Same harsh water, same harsh environment, same skin (not sure how to change that one), but vastly better results. I swear by these bars and buy them in as big of quantities as can be fit into my sink cabinet. As long as they keep making them, I’ll keep buying them. -Read Reviews-

I’m a sweaty dude going to college and I wasn’t prepared for how many bars 10 bars actually is. This is a lot of bars of soap for one guy. I thought that was pretty great for the price. The soap has a certain grit to it that easily gets off actual dirt and grim which makes cleaning muddy legs and feet easy work. It’s also gentle enough for my face but still cleans my pores effectively. The smell is there but not close to being overwhelming. I like that Dove put in sharp angles and "manly" text on the front as a marketing scheme but please know that has no effect on the soap. The bar’s slight curve makes it great for easily cleaning your legs and arms. It lathers well and I like this bar. The soap degrades pretty quick. I shower everyday, sometimes twice a day and my soap bar is kept in a damp showering room, the first bar lasted me about 2. 5 weeks. Maybe this is the expected life span but I can’t be sure. That’s still plenty of time for me but maybe not for you. The moisturizer in the bar is a total lie. This bar probably isn’t the cause of dry skin but it certainly doesn’t prevent it it. Using cooler water and this bar will prevent dried out skin. If you’re having a serious problem then use actual moisturizer. I have no other complaints. Pros: Lathers well, smell isn’t overpowering or even obvious, contoured nicely for easy washing, grit inside the soap allows for serious dirt removal, tons of bars for the priceCons: Seems to degrade quickly and moiisturizer isn’t very powerful.
